Xiaomi could soon launch Civi series in India

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has hinted at launching a new smartphone soon. This could be a smartphone from the company’s Civi series. Xiaomi introduced the Civi 4 Pro in China in March. This smartphone can be launched in the country as Xiaomi 14 SE.

The Civi 4 Pro introduced in China has a 6.55-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC as a processor. This smartphone has a Leica branded triple rear camera unit. Its 4,700 mAh battery supports 67 W wired fast charging.

Recently, Xiaomi’s CMO in the country, Anuj Sharma, told Gadgets 360 that the company plans to launch a smartphone in the Rs 50,000 segment. The new smartphone will reduce the gap between Redmi Note 13 Pro + 5G and Xiaomi 14. The 8 GB + 256 GB variant of Redmi Note 13 Pro + 5G is priced at Rs 30,999 and the 12 GB + 512 GB is priced at Rs 34,999. Xiaomi 14 is priced at Rs 69,999. Sharma had said, “I don’t think there is a very good smartphone in the Rs 50,000 segment. We want to bring a better device in it.” Select smartphone companies have introduced their devices in this segment. OnePlus has a strong position in it. The company’s 11R and 12R have received good response from customers. This year Xiaomi has grown a lot in the smartphone market.
