The camera system on the Xiaomi 14 Pro includes triple 50-megapixel cameras. The OmniVision Light Hunter 900 primary camera (1/1.31″), Samsung JN1 (1/2.76″) for 75mm telephoto that focuses on objects as close as 10cm and another 14mm ultrawide. The tipster says that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will not use the Samsung JN1. The size and placement of the camera module will reportedly remain the same. However, the camera island may be raised to house a larger sensor.
According to the early prototype of Xiaomi 15 Pro, the telephoto may adopt periscope technology like ultra flagships like Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Xiaomi 15 Pro is also reported to be equipped with a 2K micro-curved screen that is similar in size to Xiaomi 14 Pro.
The current Pro flagship is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 6.73″ slightly curved 2K panel that offers a peak brightness of 3000 nits, a 4880mAh battery with 120W charging and 50W wireless charging, and Xiaomi’s new HyperOS. The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to launch soon after getting the new chip. The 2024 Snapdragon Summit may be held in October.
