Samsung Launches Galaxy M15 5G With Dimensity 6100+ SoC, 6,000mAh Battery

South Korean smartphone maker Samsung on Monday launched the Galaxy M15 5G in India. Pre-orders for this smartphone started last week. It has an octacore MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ as a processor. Its triple rear camera unit has a 50-megapixel primary camera.

This dual SIM (Nano) smartphone runs on Android 14. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Its display has a waterdrop style notch for the selfie camera. Under its hood, the octacore MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor is provided with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Its storage can be expanded up to 1 TB via microSD card. The triple rear camera unit of this smartphone has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel shooter. Its front has a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Its connectivity options include 5G, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. It has accelerometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor and virtual proximity sensor. The Galaxy M15 5G has a fingerprint sensor on the side for security. The 6,000 mAh battery of this smartphone supports 25 W fast charging. The company claims that its battery gives up to 21 hours of playback time and 128 hours of audio playback time in a single charge. Its size is 160.1 x 76.8 x 9.3mm and weight is around 217 grams. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip are set to launch in the second half of this year. Sales of foldable smartphones have increased in the last few years. Samsung ranks first in this segment. These could be the first smartphones with advanced artificial intelligence features.
