Redmi announced the Redmi A4 5G as part of its partnership with Qualcomm at IMC 2024 on Wednesday. The new smartphone is said to be India’s first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor. Redmi said on the occasion, it is set to redefine the entry-level smartphone experience in India by providing advanced 5G connectivity to millions of people. The new processor claims to come with better processing power and efficiency. It is made on 4nm process.
The new Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip offers support for 90fps FHD+ displays. It has dual 12-bit ISP camera support. Additionally, it packs a powerful modem for gigabit 5G connectivity. And supports dual-frequency GNSS (L1 + L5), including NAVIC.
The company did not reveal any specifications, but the phone was displayed in two color options. It has a 50MP rear camera. There is also a secondary camera, details of which are still being kept behind the scenes. 3.5 mm audio jack is also available in the smartphone.
With Redmi A4 5G, Xiaomi and Qualcomm Technologies said in the press release that they are making gigabit-fast connectivity a reality for millions of Indians. The companies said the affordability and powerful performance of the device will redefine the smartphone experience in this segment and drive adoption of 5G technology in the country.
Redmi A4 5G, shown at the Indian Mobile Congress, will be launched in India soon. Without revealing the exact price, Redmi has said that the upcoming smartphone will be priced under Rs 10,000.
