However, since the Poco F6 series was launched just three months ago in May, there was little hope of an early launch. Therefore, it is expected that the upgraded Poco F7 series will launch in the second quarter around the same time next year. But now it seems that Poco is accelerating its F-series release cycle this year. After the IMEI listing, the alleged Poco F7 has now received EEC certification with the same model number.
While the certification doesn’t reveal the design or features of the smartphone, it does raise the possibility that the Poco F7 could launch earlier than expected. Going by the past pattern, the Poco F6 received EEC certification in January this year and was officially launched in May. If Poco follows a similar strategy for the Poco F7, the new series could arrive in December.
The smartphone’s model number “2412” already suggests this schedule, with “24” for the year and “12” for the month. However, it is worth noting that this is still a possibility and Poco has not confirmed anything. The Poco F7 is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 for the global market. The F7 Pro, on the other hand, could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80.
The Redmi K80 series is rumoured to launch in China in November this year, so it’s very possible for the Poco F7 series to release in December. It’s just that Xiaomi usually takes some time to introduce its China-specific phones globally. While this pattern is expected to continue, there seems to be a change in strategy this year.
