Oppo Reno 12 Pro Launched 50MP Camera 16GB RAM Price Specifications Features Availability

Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro were launched in China on Thursday, May 23. The smartphones feature quad-curved displays with a 50-megapixel front camera and 50-megapixel triple rear camera units. Both phones run Android 14-based ColorOS 14 and come equipped with an IP65 rating. The Oppo Reno 12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed ​​Edition chipset, while the Reno 12 Pro gets the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed ​​Edition SoC. Both phones are currently available for pre-order and will go on sale in China later this month.

The Oppo Reno 12 has been launched in China at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 31,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 256GB variants are both priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,500). The top-of-the-line 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 36,800).

At the same time, the base 12GB + 256GB variant of Oppo Reno 12 Pro is priced at CNY 3,399 (approximately Rs 39,000), while the 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations are priced at CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs 42,500) and CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 46,000), respectively.

Both smartphones are currently available for pre-order in China via the official Oppo website and other online retailers. Their sale will start in the country from May 31.

The standard Oppo Reno 12 is offered in Ebony Black, Millennium Silver, and Soft Peach (translated from Chinese) colour options. On the other hand, the Reno 12 Pro comes in Champagne Gold, Ebony Black, and Silver Magic Purple (translated from Chinese) colours.

The base Oppo Reno 12 runs on a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed ​​Edition SoC, while the Pro version has a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed ​​Edition chipset. The phones come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. They run on Android 14-based ColorOS 14.

Both the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro get a 50-megapixel main sensor along with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera supporting 20x digital zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter. The difference is that the base model has a Sony LYT-600 primary sensor and the Pro model has a Sony IMX890 sensor. Both handsets also have a 50-megapixel front camera.

Oppo has provided a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support in both Reno 12 handsets.
