OnePlus joins hands with JioMart Digital, retailers warned of banning its products

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced a partnership with Reliance Industries’ JioMart Digital. This will help OnePlus expand its retail presence in the country. Under this partnership, OnePlus products will be available in more than 2,000 cities and towns in the country.

A few weeks ago, many retail chains had warned to stop selling OnePlus products due to problems like low profit margins and delay in processing claims. JioMart Digital has a distribution network of more than 63,000 retail stores. This partnership OnePlus OnePlus’ smartphones, wearables and other products will be sold at these retail stores. The company’s devices will also be available for online purchase through JioMart store. Regarding this, OnePlus Director of Sales, Ranjeet Singh said, “This will make the company’s products accessible to a large number of customers.”

Recently, many offline retailers associated with the All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) and the South Indian Organized Retailers Association had said that the sale of OnePlus products would be banned from the beginning of this month. These retailers had accused the company of giving low profit margins and delaying the processing of claims. After this, the company had said that it is working to resolve the problems of the retailers.

Last month, the company again reduced the price of Nord CE 3. Launched in June last year, the price of this smartphone was also reduced in November. It has an octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Recently the company introduced Nord CE 4. The 8 GB + 128 GB variant of OnePlus Nord CE 3 was launched at Rs 26,999. Its price was reduced to Rs 24,999 in November. This smartphone has a 6.7-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,412 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC as a processor. This smartphone has up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. Its triple rear camera unit includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel camera with ultra wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.
