Kia Motors Price Hiked Cars Seltos Sonet Carens to Expensive

Kia Motors has announced a massive price hike of up to 3 per cent on popular cars including Kia Seltos, Kia Sonet and Kia Carens in the Indian market from April 1, 2024. The manufacturer says the move is due to rising commodity prices and related supply chain costs. Most carmakers had announced price hikes at the start of the year. This year marks the first price hike by an automobile company.

Kia India’s National Head (Sales and Marketing) Hardeep Singh Brar said that the price has increased due to the continuous increase in commodity prices, exchange rate and rising input costs. Despite this, the company is growing, with which customers will be able to buy their favorite Kia cars without any financial burden.

Kia India has grown tremendously since its launch in India. A total of around 1.16 million units have been sold in both domestic and foreign markets. So far, the Seltos has sold more than 6,13,000 units, with this SUV at the top position, followed by Sonet at the second position with more than 3,95,000 units and Carens at the third position with 1,59,000 units.

Last month, Kia India recorded a total sale of 20,200 units. Of these, Kia Sonet became the best-selling model with 9,102 units followed by Seltos with 6,265 units and Carens with 4,832 units.
