Honor 300 Pro Spotted on Geekbench Know Every Details

Honor is going to launch its Honor 300 series on December 2. Recently, the company officially revealed the design of Honor 300 Ultra, while the promotional photo of Honor 300 has already been leaked. Now the alleged Honor 300 Pro has been spotted on Geekbench. This phone will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but some other information has also been received from the listing. Let us know in detail about Honor 300 Pro.

Honor 300 Pro will get Snapdragon 8 Generation 3 processor

The Honor 300 Pro model uses a configuration with one 3.05 GHz X4 super core, five 2.96 GHz A720 large cores, and two 2.04 GHz A520 medium cores. While the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen3 configuration includes a 3.3 GHz X4 core, three 3.2 GHz A720 cores, two 3.0 GHz A720 cores, and two 2.3 GHz A520 cores. The GPU in both variants is the same Adreno 750.

So the clock speeds of all the CPU cores of the alleged Honor 300 Pro are much lower than the regular configuration of the chip. Let us tell you that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is a flagship processor of last year and can handle almost all heavy games, while Honor 300 series comes from the mid-range segment. The upcoming phone does not offer the best cooling solution and downclocking means affecting the space between the performance and thermal management of the phone.

The Honor 300 Pro test model is equipped with 16GB memory and works on Android 15 operating system. The phone achieved a single-core score of 2141 points and a multi-core score of 6813 points. Let us tell you that Xiaomi 14 Pro is also equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, whose single-core average score is 2066 points and multi-core average score is 6556 points, some peaks reach 2300 points and 6900 points.

One thing to note is that most smartphones rarely reach the peak clock speed of their processors in real-world situations. Geekbench checks the peak performance of the chip in a controlled environment, but in daily tasks users are unlikely to notice a significant difference in performance compared to the higher-clocked model. Due to the downclocking of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in Honor 300 Pro, normal users may not see much drop in performance. Instead, it will provide a more power efficient thermally stable experience, making it a good option for users who want strong performance without overheating.
