HMD is preparing to launch its new Crest series smartphones. The company is known for its budget-friendly smartphones. HMD smartphones have become quite popular in India due to their affordable price. HMD had earlier launched the HMD Pulse smartphone, which was re-branded as HMD Arrow in India. Now the HMD Crest series is in the works. Let’s know about the upcoming HMD smartphones.

HMD’s naming scheme can be a bit confusing. The HMD Crest could either be a rebranded version of the HMD Pulse series or a completely new smartphone. Official HMD Crest Webpage has been made live. However, it is currently available only in India. This suggests that the upcoming HMD Crest series may be introduced specifically for the Indian market. However, the website does not provide any other information about the smartphone. What we know about the HMD Crest series is that it has models named HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max.

HMD Pulse Specifications

HMD Pulse has a 6.65-inch HD + LCD display, which has a resolution of 720×1,612 pixels, 600 nits peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. It works on octa-core 12nm Unisoc T606 chip. Talking about the camera setup, this smartphone has a 13-megapixel primary camera at the rear. At the same time, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. This smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery which supports 10W charging. This smartphone has up to 128GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB. Pulse works on Android 14 operating system. The price of HMD Pulse is EUR 140 (about Rs 12,460). This smartphone is available in Atmos Blue, Dreamy Pink and Meteor Black color options.
