The Geekbench listing has revealed that the model number of the ASUS ROG Phone 9 and Phone 9 Pro is ASUSAI2501E. This phone works on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a chipset with second generation Orion CPU and an advanced Adreno GPU. These features are expected to provide a better gaming experience, sharper visuals, and better power efficiency.
According to the Geekbench result, the ROG Phone 9 series will get up to 24GB of RAM. It will launch with Android 15 operating system. The decent storage will make it one of the few smartphones that can handle heavy games and multitasking. The phone scored 1,812 on the Core ML Neural Engine inference test, which shows its ability to better handle machine learning tasks that can improve AI-based features in gaming and device optimization.

Talking about the design, the ROG logo on the rear does not have RGB lighting this time, but there is an AniMe Vision LED panel with it, which has ASUS’s new ROG text. This combination of design elements enhances the gaming capability of the phone. Its rear panel also has a unique visual element. Earlier, this series was rumored to have a display with 185Hz refresh rate.
Pressure-sensitive airtriggers are provided on the right side of the smartphone. This feature improves control accuracy in mobile games. ASUS has hinted at the inclusion of AI-based capabilities in the ROG Phone 9 series, providing a smarter, more customized gaming experience through real-time adjustments and optimizations. However, the battery capacity has not been revealed yet. ASUS’s partnership with Qualcomm’s energy-efficient Snapdragon platform shows that the ROG Phone 9 can offer extended battery life.
