As per the listing, the Vivo V40 SE 5G will feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) AMOLED display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits local peak brightness, and 394ppi pixel density. It runs on an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and the RAM is virtually expandable by another 8GB. The handset also packs 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14.
The triple rear camera module of the Vivo V40 SE 5G includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The front camera is fitted inside a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the screen, housing a 16-megapixel sensor.
The Vivo V40 SE 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W wired fast charging, which is claimed to charge the phone from zero to 50 percent within 25 minutes. The handset comes with an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. It gets an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone gets 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C connectivity.
The Crystal Black variant of the Vivo V40 SE 5G measures 163.17 x 75.81 x 7.79 mm and weighs 185.5 grams. On the other hand, the Leather Purple variant is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 191 grams.
