The company claims that it will be the slimmest 3D curved display. Its front panel has a curved display with a hole-punch slot in the center for the camera. The power and volume buttons are given on the right corner of this smartphone. There is a separate circular camera unit on the top right corner of its rear panel. A round LED flash unit is provided with it.
Earlier, some reports had said that the price of Y200 Pro 5G in the country would be less than Rs 25,000. It may have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC as a processor. In the first quarter of the current year, Vivo ranked first in the country’s smartphone market. Vivo has overtaken South Korean smartphone maker Samsung. Samsung has fallen to third place. Another Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi ranks second in this market.
However, Samsung has retained its first position in terms of volume share. Due to the high prices of the company’s smartphones, it has around 25 percent market share in terms of value. According to a report by market research firm Counterpoint, the average selling price of Samsung smartphones is $425. Vivo has around 19 percent market share in terms of volume. In the same period last year, the company’s market share was 17.5 percent. Xiaomi’s market share is around 18.8 percent. Samsung’s market share in this market has declined from around 20.3 percent last year to 17.5 percent. American devices maker Apple has set a record in the first quarter in terms of value. The company is leading in value and volume in the premium segment of the smartphone market.
